My Mummy's Pennies: A new Year, a New Challenge #Project365

A new year has started and to mark it I will be beginning a new photography challenge. Project 365 is a challenge that I have attempted for the last two years and it is with regret that I have not completed a full year of daily photographs. However when I look back at the weeks that I have recorded in this way I value the memories that each image brings back to me and this is why I am starting this again. I hope to progress further this year but if I don’t complete it all, I will be happy to have at least tried again and to have these posts to look back on.
Today was a quiet day. We welcomed in the new year watching movies and eating the last of the Christmas goodies. I snapped this picture just before bedtime of my two little monsters in their new onesies. Today is the last Friday before the school term begins again. It’s not been much of a holiday for the children, we’ve all spend the majority of it under the weather and Christmas itself was overshadowed by Daddy being very ill with pneumonia. We decided to shake off the cobwebs by enjoying an afternoon of adventures in our local park. We took a walk around the lake, climbed trees, jumped off tree stumps and walked up to the temple. It was a lovely afternoon and a very difficult decision to choose just one photograph. Today we traveled to visit my father, whom my children affectionately call ‘Baldy Grandad’. He is recovering from a triple heart bypass in December and it saddens me that we have had to cancel our previous visits as we didn’t want to pass on our ills. After catching up with family we visited a local lake to feed the ducks and enjoy the play area. Again choosing a single photograph today was a difficult choice.
