My Mummy's Pennies: Cbeebies Sweet Dreams with Squidge

Both My children love Cbeebies, especially my three year old daughter Elizabeth, she was overjoyed when we recently visited Cbeebies land and really wanted to buy a Squidge toy to bring home! Luckily I distracted her as a few weeks ago we were sent the new Sweet Dreams with Squidge musical plush to review from Golden Bear Toys. If your children are Cbeebies fans you’ll probably be familiar with Squidge, the cute giant yellow bug that appears as part of the bedtime hour. The Sweet Dreams Squidge comes ready for bed, complete with cute blue night cap. He’s the perfect size and shape for big sleepy cuddles and is lovely and soft. If your children watch the bedtime hour then they (and you!) will be familiar with The Bedtime Song. When your child gives Squidge a big tight squeeze (or just presses the largest star) the bedtime song plays in full along with a lovely light show in the stars. The volume is not adjustable and I would say it’s a little loud for a bedtime toy (we can hear it clearly in the next room) however it doesn’t go on and on and Elizabeth is quite happy to listen to the song once the cuddle up with squidge under the covers and go to sleep, it’s just when she wakes up and start it playing at six in the morning it can be a bit loud… Sweet Dreams with Squidge has an RRP of £19.99 and is suitable from 10 months plus. My three year old loves him and I can see this toy being part of our bedtime routine for a long time to come… In the time we have been had this product Elizabeth has slept away from home twice, once on a  family break to the Lake District and the second time at a ‘sleepover’ at Gran and Grandad’s house. Both times she has had Squidge as part of her bedtime routine and it has helped her to settle in unfamiliar surroundings. Check out this video of Squidge in action…
